What a fun evening… good friends, food, wine, and a picturesque location! This year was my first time attending one of HandMade Events Pop-up Parties. I have always seen photos on social media and was curious to experience it in-person. I met with Nicole Benjamin-Sathre, part owner of HandMade Events earlier this year and was looking forward to seeing her event in action. We bought our tickets and joined everyone dressed in all white at the Sonoma event (held at Jack London Park). What a fantastic time! Our Table… White, gold (of course!), and surrounded by fur!Our Menus + for Dessert…A Cookie Tower! The beautiful location! Jack London Park surrounded by grape vines and mountain ranges
To celebrate Tallu-lah’s new home in Napa, Danielle (Tallu-lah owner), threw a Valentines’s Day themed dinner party. Danielle decided to keep it farm fresh with rustic flowers, tree stumps, and mason jars. Her personal favorite touch was the candy cart. We setup everything for guests to create their own little Valentine bags so others could fill it with treats like candy, pencils, notes and nail polish. Everything came together perfectly!
I recently came back from a little weekend trip in Tahoe and stayed at a new boutique hotel called Basecamp. It is located in South Lake Tahoe right on the boarder of California and Nevada. What immediately caught my eye when I was looking for places to stay was the design of this hotel. It is setup like a motel but felt more like a resort. Every little detail of the hotel was thought out and executed perfectly. The outdoor fire pit and rustic lobby bar are just two of my favorite things about his cozy cabin-like place. I will definitely be staying here again soon.
If you are at all a tea lover I highly recommend checking out David’s Tea. They have multiple locations, I visited the one off of Chestnut St. in San Francisco. They are very helpful and have all sorts of fun flavors like birthday cake and red velvet. It’s the perfect place to grab a cup of tea and pick up a little something to bring home.
This was my first year going to the SF Chefs Festival and I was blown away. SF Chefs is San Francisco’s premier food, wine, and spirits festival. It takes place over 3 days in a large tent in Union Square. Over 200 of San Francisco’s finest restaurants, bars, wineries and breweries are featured. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. I will defiantly be attending again next year.
